Here For Each Other Happy Café - Session 2
As part of our efforts to bring staff from across the system together to share and celebrate wellbeing, Here For Each Other is launching a series of online Happy Café meetings. Chaired by Gerry Clarke from the World Happiness Project, these informal sessions will invite staff working in health and care across Dorset as well as the local councils twice a month to share their happiness and wellbeing experiences in a fun, informative and inspirational way.
In the second instalment of our Happy Café sessions we are joined by Lifesurfing coach, Marisa Whitty to talk about mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) - a type of therapy born from the union of cognitive therapy and meditative principles that helps us to live with an enhanced sense of wellbeing and purpose.
Maria Clarke will talk about Health and Nature Dorset (HAND) and her role in the Our Dorset wellbeing in nature initiative, Give Nature A Go.
Neil Hutchinson, a member of the Wimborne Rotary Club will join Gerry to talk about Giving - one of the ten keys to happier living. How doing things for others in the community and supporting local causes can bring happiness and joy to both to the giver and the receiver.
Additionally we are running a competition to win a luxury spa retreat in one of Dorset's leading spa and wellness centres!
