Here For Each Other's Long Covid Support Group
To support ICS staff with a diagnosis of Long Covid, the Here For Each Other Team are offering a group programme comprising six interactive sessions.

These sessions are designed to provide a space for facilitated peer support and support adjustment to and self-management of Long Covid symptoms.
The group aims to provide opportunities for learning together about self-management of long covid. We understand that Long Covid can be isolating, and peer support can be a valuable tool in recovery. Connecting with others who have been through or are going through similar experiences can be powerful and supportive. Evidence demonstrating this is well documented in physical health.
The group is facilitated by a Physiotherapist and a Clinical Psychologist, alongside guest speakers, all with experience in supporting people living with physical health conditions. Each session lasts for a maximum of 1.5 hours. The sessions are held online via Microsoft Teams.
You can make a self-referral for an assessment by completing our referral form or you can be referred directly via the Dorset Post Covid Syndrome Service.
Upon receipt of your referral, you will be contacted by a member of the Here For Each Other team and invited to attend an assessment with a Clinical Psychologist/Physiotherapist. The aim of the assessment is to discuss with you your current needs, to provide a space to discuss the long covid group further with you so that you have a good understanding of what the group entails, and to ensure that the group will be a good fit for you. You will also be asked to complete some questionnaires.
Please note that we can only accept referrals for people who have been assessed by the Dorset Post Covid Syndrome Service and have a diagnosis of Long Covid.
